Solution Overivew
During fast paced practice and games, coaches can efficiently record voice/video feedback for individual athletes.
Afterwards, with more time on coaches' hand, they can sit down to review the notes suggestions our system made and send encouraging individualized feedback to athletes.
This way, athletes don't have to feel like they have hit a ceiling in performance and can feel that coaches genuinely cares about them.

Realization
Individualized feedback is great
but Hard to Capture
At one point, we no longer feel in touch with how to contextualize our solutions. We needed to understand the coaches better.
We reorganized and looked at the bigger picture. We then envisioned a user flow that could best solve the problem taking into the physical environment that the coaches are in.
Coaches' 2 States
On Field
Very stressed, yell a lot randomly at athletes, actually give individualized feedback on field.
However, these feedback are usually forgotten
Off Field
Have more time to reflect and give systematic feedback for athletes.
Potential Problem
Athletes tend to feel like coaches are too Mean
Athletes are less willing to listen to mean feedback.
We wanted to give tools to help to reshape coaches language to be more empathetic and encouraging. We also wanted the tool to eventually help improve the coaches ability to give more empathetic feedback in the long run.

ON FIELD
1. Capture

Fast & Efficient
Coaches often shout out comments during practise or games but both the athlete and coach easily forget these comments due to the rapid pace.
However, this way, coaches can easily hold to record at the same time they make these comments to have them documented.
OFF FIELD
2. Reflect & Send Feedback

Send Revised Feedback
Coach sees all the feedback collected today automatically grouped by athlete and by skills.
The notes highlighted in green are the ones that got slightly edited to sound friendlier to youths.

Feedback Details
The coaches can revise the feedback as much as they want.
They can also attach relevant online tutorials in the suggested tutorial video section.

Reminders
After the coach sends the feedback, the platform reminds him of athletes he has not given feedback to in a while.
Creating Small Groups
The coach can plan out the week's practise and create small groups to work on targeted problem areas for the athletes.
These category suggestions are automatically generated using the data from the coach's feedbacks.

Initial desktop explorations
We want to provide coaches with a desktop version where they can utilize a bigger screen whether they are at their office or home.
Future Considerations
Consider adding hotline function where coaches can call to get help from psychologists
Longitudinal study
Some Features to Consider:
Consider adding on-boarding tutorial to help coach understand some basic concepts for sports psychology
